Can landlord charge me extra for if I choose to forfeit my deposit?

3 of us sublet a house. I have signed no contract and have been paying rent for 3yrs. I have painted the. Panels in my room and there are scratches on the wooden floor. Can the landlord charge extra to restore it? Where can I find info ok this for my rights? I live in PA
