Peace lily problems.Can anyone help?

My peace lily is still young, i took it off a plant we already had, i've had the cutting for about 3 months. it only has 6 or so leaves and untill a few days ago they were perfectly healthy, they were the waxy deep green colour they should be, but i put it in direct sunlight for a few days and now the leaves are wilted and faded, how much light should they get? should i not give them direct sunlight?
