Is my father odd or is this normal?

I am 18 and my father is in his late 40s. My father makes a lot of remarks about women and checks them out whether on tv or in life. I know all men do this, but it is a little odd to me to do it infront of your family. For example if there is a scene he will sometimes be like close your eyes instead of letting me fast forward. He always makes remarks about women like about their face or body in front of my family. He will say there was a bunch hot chicks in that store and such and it just makes me feel akward. LIke why does he have to say these things in front of me and why is he strict on what I wear or see (even though I dress and act conservatively) when he looks at women and makes lewd comments all the time. Shouldn't he keep his ual urges to himself?
